TravelAha Terms and Conditions

Welcome to TravelAha! By using our platform, you agree to these terms, so please read them carefully. “We,” “our,” and “us” refer to TravelAha, Inc., while “TravelAha” refers to our platform, including our website, mobile apps, and related services. These Terms of Use apply to all users of TravelAha, including content creators (Creators) and supporters (AhaMates). By using TravelAha, you agree to these terms and our other policies, including our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

Your Account

To use TravelAha, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to use certain features, like creating a Creator account or purchasing memberships. You are responsible for your account and any activity that occurs under it. Please ensure your information is accurate and updated regularly. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Abusive Conduct

We expect all users to behave responsibly. Any illegal, abusive, or harmful activity, including exploiting the platform in unintended ways, can result in the termination of your account. Creators are also held to this standard, as their actions can impact the safety and integrity of the platform. Violations may lead to account suspension or termination at our discretion.

Becoming a Creator

Creators on TravelAha can set up pages to engage with AhaMates and offer memberships or other content for points. By becoming a Creator, you agree to provide accurate information about your offerings, including pricing and any associated benefits. Creators are responsible for managing their pages and adhering to our policies, including any additional requirements for specific content types, such as adult content.

Payments and Fees

Creators can earn money through point-based transactions, subscriptions, and other offerings. TravelAha will process these payments and may convert them into the local currency of the AhaMate at our discretion. We handle issues like fraud and chargebacks and aim to provide timely access to funds. However, we may withhold or block access to funds for violations of our terms or compliance reasons. Creators are responsible for any fees associated with their offerings, including platform fees, payment processing fees, and any applicable taxes.

Taxes

TravelAha complies with tax obligations and may collect and report tax information as required by law. Creators are responsible for reporting their income and any related taxes. In certain jurisdictions, we may be required to collect VAT or sales tax from AhaMates, which will be added to the total charge.

Restrictions

We do not allow content or benefits that violate our terms or policies. This includes illegal, abusive, or misleading content, as well as content that infringes on others’ intellectual property rights. Creators must also ensure that any content shared with their audience complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, Creators must keep patron data secure and adhere to our Data Processing Agreement.

AhaMates and Memberships

AhaMates can subscribe to Creators or purchase content using points. Memberships may include special benefits such as exclusive content, merchandise, or personalized interactions. Payments are processed automatically, and memberships renew unless canceled. AhaMates can cancel at any time, but refunds are generally not provided. TravelAha does not guarantee the quality or availability of content, as this is the responsibility of the Creator.

Intellectual Property

Creators retain ownership of their content, but by posting on TravelAha, they grant us a license to use, display, and distribute their content as part of our services. This license is necessary to operate the platform and provide services to users. Creators must ensure that they have the rights to any content they post and must not infringe on the intellectual property of others.

Third-Party Services

You may connect your TravelAha account to third-party services, such as social media platforms, to enhance your experience. When you do so, you grant those services access to certain information about your TravelAha account. You can manage these connections through your account settings.

Account Deletion and Termination

You can delete your account at any time. TravelAha also reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, especially in cases of policy violations. If your account is terminated, you may lose access to any content or benefits you have purchased.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us if you have any issues. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts located in California, under california law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you before they take effect. Continued use of TravelAha after the changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
